Job Title: Registered Manager - Children's Home

Location: Friesthorpe, Lincoln

Salary: £43,000 - £48,000 per annum

Hours: Mon-Fri Full time, but flexibility will be required based on service requirements

We are pleased to be working with an exceptional provider of services for people with autism, learning difficulties and complex needs. A unique opportunity to lead a team providing both an integrated education and care package, for children up to the age of 19.

What's expected of me as Registered Manager?

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to oversee their purpose built 8 bedded service in Friesthorpe. Working independently, reporting to their Operations Manager, you will be leading and inspiring a team to help care and support young people with the transition into adulthood.

What are the key responsibilities as a Registered Manager?

  • Lead and motivate a team of support staff, providing guidance, supervision, and support as required.
  • Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to the specific needs of the resident, in collaboration with external agencies and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, maintaining standards of care in line with Ofsted regulations.
  • Foster positive relationships with the resident's family members, promoting open communication and involvement in care decisions.
  • Facilitate staff training and development initiatives, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care provision, implementing changes and improvements as necessary to enhance resident outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including financial budgets, staffing rotas, and incident reports.
  • Act as a point of contact for external agencies, representing the home and advocating for the needs of the resident.

What are the minimum requirements as a Residential Manager?

  • At least 2 years' Management/supervisory within a care setting within the past 5 years.
  • QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent and willing to complete the level 5 QCF within 2 years.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to working with young people and their families.
  • Supporting the care team to organise, exciting and engaging activities, trips and visits for the young people.
  • Knowledge of learning disabilities and/or special needs including recent developments and person-centred planning
